IMEI number is the special ID of all the phones given by the manufacturing companies. IMEI is the only one thing that create difference between the different moblie phones. Every phone has its on unique IMEI number. If you lost your phone You can track your phone by IMEI number. Some time in android phones and tablets there is a problem of "invalid IMEI number" after rooting or installing custom on your device. Due to this problem you are unable to connect to network. But today I will teach you how to fix or change the IMEI number of your phone in few simple steps.
Pre-Requirements
** Android phone must be rooted
** If you are using dual sim phone than your phone has two IMEI numbers..Note down the IMEI numbers.
** no USB or debugging is required
Note:- If your phone is not rooted than get it rooted by a single click .Download Framaroot from the link and root your phone.
Warning :- Changing IMEI numbers is illegal and not supported by government. So, please don't perform on the behalf of this post
Steps to change IMEI number:
#1. From dial pad dial " *#7465625# OR *#*#3646633#*#* " .
#2. After dialing a screen is open i.e. Engineering mode . If its not working than your phone is not rooted. Root it again.
#3. Now go to connectivity option and select CDS(common data service) information. In CDS you can find Radio Information. Select it ..If you have have dual sim than choose accordingly .
#4. Enter the following code:
AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_01″ and AT +EGMR=1,10,”IMEI_02″ (replace IMEI_01 and IMEI_02 with respective IMEI Number) and press send command.For Example :- AT +EGMR=1,7,9100XXXXXXXXXXXX
Where 9100XXXXXXXXXXXX should be the IMEI Number
